Gathering your documents before you begin house hunting will help ensure that the process goes smoothly & that Realtors & Sellers will be able to take you serious. . 

Income Required to get pre-approved	2 most recent Tax Returns 2 most recent W2's 30 days of recent pay stubs Document any other income you plan to use
Assets Required to get pre-approved	60 days of recent Bank Statements Document any other assets you plan to use
ID	Copy of Government Photo ID Copy of Social Security card
Written Explanations if applicable	Signed explaination regarding anything out of the ordinary pertaining to your: Credit Income Assets
Appraisal	Ensures that the property you're buying is worth what you're paying You pay for it out of pocket
Title	Ordered by your attorney to ensure you're buying a property free from violations and etc
Insurance	Bank will require that the home has insurance prior to extending a loan

Tips:

1. All pages of the documents will be required even if they're blank. 
2. Gather documents promptly once they're requested. 
3. Always update documents since the old ones will expire.
4. Inform your loan officer of any changes & expectations.
5. Ask questions.
